Brian Lon Biederman, CFP®

Mr. Biederman grew up in rural upstate New York and from an early age developed a strong buisness ethic based on hard work and serving the public's needs. He attended Sullivan County College where he earned an Associate Degree in Hospitality Management. He continued his education by earning his BS in Hotel and Business Management from Florida International University in Miami Florida.

In 1994, he earned a Certified Financial Planner designation from the College for Financial Planning. After a successful career in the hotel and restaurant industry, he decided to continue helping people enjoy life as a Financial Planner. He started with a mutual fund company whose focus were small investors looking to invest modest amounts of money on a regular basis. This continues today with many of his clients investing on a regular basis. This is in line with his mission statement: Helping individuals and small businesses create and manage multi-generational wealth.

Since meeting with his first client in 1984 (still a client today), he worked with two other firms and in 1997 established Advanced Financial Concepts, Inc. Brian started this firm to focus more on solving client problems with investment techniques and planning strategies rather than emphasizing product sales. The firm's clientele is diverse but mostly consists of high income families and retirees.

Mr. Biederman spends considerable time on investment research, portfolio design and tax reduction strategies. His investment strategies use a proven method that seeks to reduce risk and increase returns after taxes and inflation. Some of these methods are not used by major Wallstreet firms.

He conducts educational workshops on topics such as:

  • Comprehensive Financial Planning
  • Educating Children about investing
  • Incentive Stock Options and tax reduction strategies
  • Portfolio Management to increase returns and reduce risk
  • Wealth Preservation

Brian resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife Bobbi. In their leisure time they enjoy spending time at the beach, strolling through flea markets, craft fairs and antique stores. Brian also enjoys golf and scuba diving. They travel between NC, NY, Fl, AZ, MD, and WA visiting children and grandchildren.
